![]() The King Wifi prep is used by Forest River, KZ Thor, Winnebago, Braxton Creek, Gulfstream RV, and Pleasant Valley/ Nucamp brands.Īt the moment we cannot say if those brands do the same type of prep work that Forest River does, which is less than ideal. To let you know that the wiring is in place, there are stickers placed on the faceplate or other locations telling you that the RV was pre-wired.Īll you have to do is go buy the antenna bundle of your choice. The ideal behind this convenience is that the pre-wiring or prep work for the wifi system makes it easier for owners to connect to the wifi antenna. The only consistent behavior is that there is no consistent behavior except failing to prep the RV. In other words, King Wifi prep by Forest River means, you get what they decide to give you. Then, the wires may be there but they are placed in such a position that owners need to drill extra holes just to get to them and finish placing the wires up to the antenna. ![]() There could be a variety of legitimate reasons why those wires are missing. Underneath the faceplate, all you see is a gaping hole where the wires are supposed to be. Other times, you will remove the faceplate off the wall as that has the sticker saying King Wifi ready, or similar terms. Sometimes you cannot use the installed antenna like that is for t.v. Supposedly, the Forest River Wifi prep means that the wires for wifi service are already in place and they only need connecting to the wifi antenna. or it could come with wires but no antenna. What the former considers to be prep work does not seem to matter to the latter as your RV could come with just stickers and nothing else. The concept of prep work seems to differ between owners and Forest River.
